    The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.

    If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.

    We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic KS1 teacher to join our friendly supportive team at High Hurstwood CE Primary School and teach in KS1 from September 2024. This post is suitable for ECTs or main pay scale teachers. A later start date may be negotiated if needed.

    We are a small village primary school in a beautiful rural setting in between the towns of Uckfield and Crowborough. High Hurstwood CE Primary School is a popular school with an excellent reputation. Our motto ('Belong ~ Enjoy ~ Excel') encapsulates what we want for the children and staff at High Hurstwood and also reflects our Christian Values. We are part of a village community and also have close links with our local church.

    We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner to join our teaching team.

    The successful candidate will:

  • be passionate about teaching and learning and ensuring every child succeeds;
  • have high expectations;
  • be highly motivated, flexible and a team player;
  • have enthusiasm and dedication and
  • have some experience of teaching KS1 children.

    • Ideally, we would like the successful candidate to take on a Subject Leadership role. Appropriate training will be provided to those without Subject Leader experience. However, a decision will be made according to the skills and expertise of the successful candidate alongside the needs of the school. So please do include in your application subject areas in which you have a particular interest or expertise.
