    Description

    Our client is looking for a CNC Miller Setter/Operator to join their team on the late shift in the Basingstoke area.

    Duties will include but not be limited to:

    • Setting and operating both horizontal and vertical CNC Mills with Fanuc & Yasnac controls.
    • Selecting correct tools, fixtures and programs for CNC machines.
    • Re-setting machines for operators when required.
    • In cycle and final de-burring prior to passing on to the next stage of production.
    • Reading engineering drawings and programme for CNC machines.
    • Carry out in-process inspection to drawing specification using a variety of measuring equipment e.g., micrometers.
    • Management of programming updates and programming for new components.
    • Adhere to company quality standards and procedures.
    Ideally, you will have:
    • A recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
    • A positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
    • Accurate numeracy skills and attention to detail.
    • Experience manufacturing precision components for the Aerospace or Motorsport industry.
    • Knowledge of Fanuc and Yasnac controlled horizontal & vertical CNC mills will be an advantage.
    Please note that this is a Late Shift, Monday to Thursday type of role, 40 hours per week.
    Working hours are 14:00 - 00:30 for which our client is willing to pay between £15 - £18 per hour (depending on experience) + late shift premium.
