Description
We wish to recruit a suitably qualified, registered health or social care professional (registered with a professional body e.g. NMC, GMC, HCPC, Social Work England) to fill the post of Quality Improvement Lead.

You will be responsible for monitoring and supporting performance improvement of the Council's in-house and independent sector providers of adult social care and children's services and supporting to improve the effectiveness and quality of practice across Adult Social Care.

You will manage a portfolio of services comprising of independent sector providers and the council's in-house provider services. The work will include offering support and challenge.

Knowledge of children's services is desirable for this role, though not essential. Additionally, you will have excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to enable meaningful dialogue with internal and external colleagues.

Experience of and an ability to investigate concerns or complaints, prepare reports and develop improvement plans is essential for the role.


The role will require you to carry out site visits to a variety of service providers, undertake risk assessments, prepare reports and, where appropriate, support the development of improvement plans in response to the findings of inspections, monitoring visits and/or other intelligence.


You will contribute to the development of policy and practice guidance in relation to safeguarding and quality and to the design and delivery of training programmes across a range of services and social work teams with the aim of improving the quality of practice and service delivery.
