Description
Are you an organised and dependable people-person, with an outgoing personality and a desire to travel? Are you seeking a flexible working environment in a unique type of company?

This is a unique and varied role that combines aspects of business development, marketing, customer relationship management and external relations.

The Company

CIRM is a global trade association representing the interests of the marine electronics industry, comprising around 110 fee-paying member companies located all over the world.

CIRM's member companies manufacture, install and service the critical navigation and communication equipment that is carried on ships, allowing them to navigate safely all over the world.

Through our expert contribution to the development of maritime standards, CIRM enables its member companies to participate in work that affects their products and services.

We supply our members with a constant flow of technical and industry information, helping them navigate the complex world of maritime rules and regulations.

We provide a forum for members to come together in person and exchange ideas, opinions and opportunities.

The CIRM Secretariat comprises a small team working across the UK, and we have recently set up an office in Holywood, North Down.

The Role

The Membership Officer will be based in the Holywood office, with the ability to work from home on certain days of the week.

The role is responsible to the Secretary-General, who will also work from the Holywood office.

Key duties will include

  • Promote CIRM at international maritime trade shows and relevant shipping industry meetings/events, with primary focus on recruitment of new member companies;
  • Develop and maintain a recruitment pipeline and conduct market analysis to identify potential target companies;
  • Manage CIRM's relationships with its existing member companies in support of member retention, including regular checkin calls and site visits where required;

  • Maintain the CIRM member database and update when required;
  • Prepare and issue annual Membership Certificates;
