Our client is an award winning contractor based in the North East of England. They are looking to recruit an experienced Construction Site Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.


Job description:


  • To ensure the smooth operation of the site.
  • You will be responsible for the supervision of hospital site and personnel including subcontractors.
  • To ensure all site personnel carry out their designated tasks efficiently and effectively to enable the contract to be completed on time, with zero defects, within budget and with no risk to the Health & Safety of their operational team, the Client or thegeneral public.
  • To assist in the selection of site labour and subcontractors.
  • To assist in the procurement of materials and equipment.
  • You will manage site personnel, work activities and resources to meet the quality standards expected and programme set.
  • Ensure projects are snagged and defects remedied before handover.
  • Ensure site is safe and secure at all times.
  • You will contribute to the control of individual contract budgets, minimising waste and maximising labour outputs.
  • To ensure all necessary contract documentation/reports are accurate and produced on time.

Person specification:


  • Experience of live environment and managing multiple schemes.
  • Able to handle and maintain high volumes of data, documents and records, keeping everything up to date and accurate including reviewing RAMS and construction phase plans.
  • Able to work towards tight deadlines without compromising work.
  • Must have strong communication skills with the ability to problem solve and demonstrate initiative.
  • Must be an enthusiastic selfstarter with confident communications skills.
  • Must be flexible in hours of work, travel and hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Must hold managers CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid certification.
  • Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office.
