Description

About us:

Jigsaw is the leading design tool for the professional services industry (legal, accountancy and financial institutions). Think Figma or Canva but for lawyers and accountants. It transforms the complicated ideas often encountered in these industries into easy, quick and visually impactful business diagrams.

From corporate structure charts and step plans to organisation charts and privacy and data flows, Jigsaw allows its users to quickly create, manipulate and present a variety of beautiful, data-rich diagrams.

Jigsaw was founded by two ex-city professionals who trained at top UK and US global law firms.

This is their second joint venture; their first was acquired by a US private equity firm and went on to become a billion-dollar company and a household name in law firms across the world.

Although building for some of the biggest names in the professional services world, our company culture is anything but corporate.

Ambitious people that want to collaborate on interesting challenges and have a lot of fun whilst doing it will thrive here

About the role

The People Partner role is the first of its kind at Jigsaw, and therefore a blank canvas for someone to come in and design best in class people initiatives.

It also means that the role will continue to evolve as the organisation does, starting off with a very broad remit and specialising as the People team grows.

You goal is to ensure that every employee at Jigsaw is maximising their potential, feels enabled to do their best work and engages actively with the company culture.

You'll be a coach for managers, many of whom are new to managing people, and will support them on a range of people initiatives to help them design and develop high performing team culture.

That could be anything from transparent pay bands, career levelling frameworks, team onboarding and training plans or resolving ad hoc employee relations issues.

You'll be deeply involved in understanding how the different teams at Jigsaw operate, what their goals are and how they align to the overall commercial strategy.

You won't be designing people processes based out of a HR best practice book and then expecting teams to adopt them; here you need to co-design hand in hand with your users so they understand why changes are going to improve their team Operating System or help them achieve their goals.

You'll be
:

  • Implementing our new HRIS, HiBob, ensuring that there are appropriate localisations in place for our key hubs like the UK, Spain, USA and new locations. You'll handle rollout communication to employees and managers, set up the regular reports, design workflows and maintain the highest level of data accuracy.
  • Ensuring that our global total reward and benefits offerings are fair and equitable, but localisation is considered.
  • Tailoring leadership development programmes to stretch experienced managers but also ramp up future leaders and onboard brand new managers.
  • Coaching managers through the design of competency frameworks for each team and rolling out a performance review approach that promotes continuous feedback.
  • Planning and executing strategic people projects driven by commercial priorities and employee engagement survey feedback.
  • Drawing insights from data (both qualitative and quantitative) to continuously and proactively improve our people approach. Understanding what the predictors of potential and performance are, and how to identify and nurture these. Learning what drives disengagement and how best to intervene.
  • Advising on any employee relations, wellbeing and inclusivity topics.
  • Gradually building and developing a team of your own over time.

You'll need
:

  • Previous experience in a scaleup people) is essential, with preference given to applicants that have been part of a zero to one build journey for the people function rather than inheriting and running established processes.
  • Heaps of intellectual curiosity. You aren't afraid to ask 'why?' in any scenario.
  • You've taken the lead on at least one of the following projects: launching career frameworks, launching performance reviews, pay benchmarking, levelling and calibration of employees, new manager training, revamping of global benefits.
  • Robust prioritisation and organisation skills. You're probably that person that builds a spreadsheet just for going on holiday.
  • High levels of empathy and understanding of working with neurodiverse colleagues.
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
  • Coaching, psychometric or organisational development qualifications would be desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience managing a small team is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience working with remote international teams would be helpful.

Compensation Range:
