Handy Person / Maintenance Person - Estates based - c£30k
We're working with a reputable managing agent who London based Development seeks to hire an Estate based Handy Person / Maintenance Person as follows:

Based on a prestigious central London Estate (E1), working as part of the wider Estate Team Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm (No weekends required)
Undertaking daily inspections of all internal areas of the private residential building (lifts, hallway doors, light bulbs etc.) in addition to basic visual inspections of external communal parts (drains, gullies, fences/gates etc)
Keeping bin sheds maintained with access areas cleaned and disinfected regularly, gritting paths and roads during winter months
Maintaining an inventory of tools and stores, ensuring Bins are available for collection on allocated days
Reporting defects to the Estate Manager, undertaking repairs as instructed
Liaising with specialist contractors where they are called to attend site, ensuring they are able to carry out their work promptly and safely
Keep adequate records of faults logged by residents, updating them as jobs are completed
Acting courteous, professional and helpful to residents and those attending site at all times, maintaining the agreed dress code during core work hours.

The suitable Handy Person / Maintenance Person will come from a property maintenance / trades / handy person background with at least 2 years' experience in a similar residential setting and good written / spoken English.

Formal qualifications are not essentialalthough suitable Handy Person / Maintenance Person applicants should be educated to at least GCSE level Maths & English (or equivalent)

Salary for the successful Handy Person / Maintenance Person will start at up to £30k with reviews and uplifts based on tenure and performance.
