Projects focused on delivering city centre regeneration are a current policy focus of the Council, in line with wider national context recognising the significance of city centres in economic growth and pandemic recovery.
The purpose of the Project Officer post for City Centre Regeneration is to support the Senior Project Officer to successfully draw together city centre stakeholders and lead partners involved in city centre economic activities to deliver the Council's regeneration interventions; to promote and support management of relevant grant schemes; and to assist with new project development.
The role is responsible to a Senior Project Officer, City Development. Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a related disciplineProject management qualification (desirable, not essential)
Professional experience in economic development, employability and skills activities,
partnership activity, and stakeholder management
issuing and monitoring contracts and grant agreements
Competent user of ICT systems and all MS Office packages
