We have a new role available as Scrub Theatre Team Leader in the Procedure rooms at Lister and QE11.
You will assist and care for patients undergoing a variety of elective (Vascular, Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynae, Plastics, ENT, Pain, Ophthalmology) and plastics trauma.

Prepare equipment/ supplies and waste is kept to a minimum.Act as clinical lead to staff at Band 6 and below
Participate in the training of ODP/Nursing students.
Participate in supervision and training of qualified or unqualified staff.

Qualifications/TrainingRegistration with NMC/HPC
Evidence of continuing professional development
Completion of relevant critical care modules at level 2 and /or level3 (Diploma/BSc)
Relevant experience in either an inpatient or day surgery theatre or other relevant clinical area at band 5 or equivalent.
Staff who wish to work as an anaesthetic assistant must have either the ODP qualification or Nurses must have additional formal post basic training in anaestheticsmulti skilled in anaesthetics, recovery and scrub.
Implementation of personal development plans
Can perform in the role of either/and/or anaesthetic assistant, scrub and circulating assistant, recovery person.
Adaptable and flexible approach to work
Can participate in resource management
Knows how to carry out an audit and interpret and collate information and data
Knowledge of DipHe ODP course and support required pre and post qualification by staff at Band 5 and below
Can reconcile the need for quality care with the necessity of excellent budget management
