    Summary of the Role:

    Ginjo Construction is seeking a Commercial Director with proven experience in delivering challenging projects to complement our rapidly growing start up in our City of London office.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our sustainable supply chain solutions, including quantity surveying, estimation, procurement and contract management.

    As a key member of our team, the Commercial Director will play a pivotal role in automating efficiencies and ensure the successful delivery of construction projects with the highest of quality standards.

    Who we are looking for:

    • MRICS or MCIPS preferred.
    • A strong desire to develop leadership skills by build a successful supply chain team. You will be able to demonstrate experience of leading Supply Chain teams on past projects.
    • Ability to enhance and implement the principles of sustainable supply chain practices and procedures to support innovation.
    • Acting as primary Client contact for all Commercial matters.
    • Demonstrate an established network within the Construction Industry to develop Ginjo's brand.
    • Working knowledge of NEC / JCT / FIDIC and Bespoke forms of contract.
    • Strong Health and Safety awareness and understanding of general construction management principles, legislation and regulations.
    • Excellent time management, IT, communication and organisation skills.

    How you will contribute:

    • Business Development: Taking the lead on business development and client relationships.
    • Team building and Leadership: Building a team from the foundation and leading a team of Procurement Managers and Quantity Surveyors.
    • Mentorship and Coaching: Fostering a culture to support team members with self-development within a structured training and development program for coaching and mentoring others for personal growth.
    • Commercial Management: Focal point for Client's on all of Ginjo's portfolio with responsibility for the successful Commercial performance. Lead teams and actively contribute to preparing pre and post-award documentation.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in procurement, quantity surveying, and construction management.
    • Technical and Commercial Resolution: Providing leadership and guidance in resolving complex technical and commercial issues related to construction projects.
    • Collaborative Innovation: Working collaboratively to drive key industry topics and lead on Ginjo's vision around the promotion of Automation and Sustainability supply-chain practices.
    • Industry Engagement: Participating in industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to stay abreast of emerging trends and cultivate professional relationships.
    • Market Analysis and Strategy: Analysing market trends and industry developments to inform strategic decision-making and enhance competitiveness.
