FullTime Park Ranger

Location: Leybourne Lakes Country Park

Hours: 37 hours per week (including evenings and weekends, as required)

Annual Salary: £23,145 - £24,831

Located at Leybourne Lakes Country Park, this is an exciting opportunity to join our ranger team. You will be responsible for assisting in the daily operational running of the Country Park, to include general site maintenance, enforcing park rules, assisting in educational activities, participating in wildlife monitoring, liaising with the public and responding to onsite queries.

The ideal candidate for this role will be self-motivated, demonstrate a positive can-do attitude and have the ability to be engaging with visitors. Reliability is important in this role along with the flexibility to be able to work weekends and have differing start and finish times.

A large part of the role will involve using hand tools and machinery, therefore previous experience of operating machinery such as strimmer's, mowers, and hedge cutters to undertake these tasks is essential. A valid chainsaw certificate would also be beneficial, but not essential.

The ideal person would also have good knowledge and enjoyment of the countryside and wildlife. On the job training will be provided. Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
