Job title:

Location:
Barrow-In-Furness with hybrid options available

Salary:
Circa £33,000

What you'll be doing:

Managing a portfolio of site projects to enable operations teams with the delivery of submarines programmes.

Project Management:

The capturing of operational requirements
Developing Statement of Requirements with key stakeholders.
Project Planning and financial control, LCM
Management of project SHE requirements i.e. CDM, subcontractors

Plant, Equipment and Facilities:

Identify and selection of plant, equipment and facilities solutions and options to meet the businesses capability and legislative requirements including DSEAR, LOLER, PUWER, CDM, COSHH, etc.
Management and control of plant, equipment and facility installations on site, including the commissioning and handover phases

Contractor Control:

Control and Management of Contractors on site, responsible person
Review and Approval of Risk Assessment and Method Statements
Facilitate construction meetings with contractors

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

Basic Knowledge of investment project management
Basic Knowledge of Project Financial Planning and control
Good communication at all levels of the organisation
Good Stakeholder engagement and relationship building
Trade person with experience and an NVQ level 3 in associated Electrical/Mechanical background or equivalent engineering background.

Desirable

Awareness of Health & Safety legislation and requirements (PUWER, ATEX, DSEAR, etc)

The Project Professional - Delivery team**:

As a Project Professional, you will be supporting the delivery of specific IBP investment projects and will be responsible for the delivery in line with end-user requirements and any operational requirements required for the submarines team.

You will liaise with the majority of Site Functions i.e. Engineering Authority, depending on where the demand is placed.

You will also be in collaboration with external stakeholders, service suppliers, contractors, sub-contractor control, Supply Chain and the SHE team.

Additionally, there will be opportunities for further development and growth within the team and wider business across Air, Land and Maritime.
