    The Role

    We are committed to safeguarding our law firm's data and assets, as well as those of the group entities within our wider group, from cyber threats. We are seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to deliver group wide improvements. As our Lead Cybersecurity Engineer, you will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise in Microsoft security tools such as Intune, Azure, Windows, and Macs along with other leading tools for email security. Your dedication to mitigating risk and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our sensitive data across all group entities will be vital to our success.

    Key Deliverables

    • Reduce risk by implementing state-of-the-art cybersecurity measures with improved scores for enterprise risks across all group entities. As a true Cybersecurity specialist, you will take a lead in minimizing risk and making our law firm's data and assets, as well as those of our group entities, secure.
    • Simplify the path to success by reducing security technical debt, forging better standards, and improving documentation across all group entities. As an expert in your field, you will streamline our cybersecurity processes and create a more efficient and effective system that delivers results. Making sure that our focus remains where it should be - on providing outstanding service to our clients and customers.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    The Lead Cybersecurity Engineer position will involve the following areas of responsibility:

    • Harness the power of cutting-edge cybersecurity measures to protect our networks, systems, and data
    • Design and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures that are robust and in line with industry best practices and legal requirements that fit or can be tailored to our group entities
    • Mentor other cybersecurity and technology professionals to enhance their skills and effectiveness
    • Conduct regular security audits, penetration testing, and risk assessments that will keep our adversaries at bay
    • Work with the Cyber IR team to create and execute incident response plans that will ensure we emerge on top in the event of an attack
    • Keep ahead of emerging cybersecurity threats and trends, and recommend security controls to mitigate risks
    • Work with other IT teams to ensure that our cybersecurity is strong and integrated into all aspects of our IT infrastructure
    • Work with third-party vendors to forge alliances that will strengthen our defences across the group
    • Drive forward cybersecurity standards that meet or exceed industry best practices and legal requirements
    • Collaborate with the IT teams and business stakeholders to identify areas where cybersecurity improvements can be made, and champion initiatives that align with our strategic goals and legal obligations

    Skills/Experience

    • Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the Cybersecurity/Technology field
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft365 security tools such as Intune, Azure AAD, Conditional access, and others.
    • Excellent knowledge of leading security tools for Windows, Macs, and email
    • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity
    • Ability to inspire, and mentor other professionals in the ways of security
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks
    • Proven experience in creating and implementing cybersecurity standards and delivering change to existing technical controls
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
