A really interesting opportunity for an interim Head of Marketing to drive both B2B and B2C marketing for Stopgap.


THE ROLE:

This is initially a 6 month interim position to set the marketing strategy for 2023 and beyond and then implement a plan that will support our revenue growth targets.

As Head of Marketing, you will provide a vision for the strategic development of Stopgap's marketing with a strong focus on the digital landscape, ensuring the delivery of an excellent, stimulating and innovative digital experience to all of our current, lapsed and prospect audiences.


As our interim Head of Marketing you will:

  • Be responsible for establishing a clear, measurable marketing strategy and developing and executing marketing plans to meet business goals.
  • Manage the annual marketing budget, prioritising ROI of activity and ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Play a key role in delivering commercial success, driving forward marketing initiatives and projects of your own whilst providing guidance and coaching to your team.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and our external suppliers to support the delivery of strategic and BAU initiatives
  • Measure performance against key success metrics and undertake regular analysis that improves our understanding of the audiences we serve and informs decisions that impact the success of business objectives

YOU:
To be considered for this interim Head of Marketing role, you must have

  • 7+ years of experience in Marketing definitely within B2B but ideally some B2C
  • Experience of working within a professional services environment, ideally with some exposure to the recruitment sector
  • Experience in creating effective marketing plans where the core focus has been on lead generation.
  • Very good understanding of digital channels websites, social media (including LinkedIn), PPC and SEO
  • Ability to work with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to influence their thinking as well as elicit insight to support the delivery of relevant and timely marketing programmes
  • Experience of delivering and managing content programmes that have pushed boundaries
  • Experience of using digital reporting tools to track activity performance
  • Experience managing budgeting processes and related reporting
  • Experience of managing external stakeholders and strong project management skills to ensure key deadlines are not missed

As far as key attributes go:

  • We are looking for a creative and passionate marketer who's not afraid to try something new but also happy to continue with something if it works
  • Strong leadership but also very happy to roll up their sleeves and do the delivery as well as planning of campaigns
  • The ability to motivate and influence individuals and deliver strategy on time with great attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing external talent to deliver projects
  • Ability to work with a range of individuals, teams and key business stakeholders
We ideally want someone who can start ASAP and be able to commit to 6 months
We are based in Richmond and would need you in the office at least 1 dpw.
This can be outside IR35
