Description

With more than 11,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, the Faculty of Business and Law at Manchester Met is a popular choice for students.

The Faculty consists of our triple-accredited Business School, which is one of the top business schools in the UK, holding the globally recognised trio of accreditations from EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA, and the renowned Manchester Law School - one of only nine providers delivering the vocational component of the Bar Training Course (BTC).

With strong links to professional bodies, global industries and the professional community, more than 400 expert academic staff deliver well-rounded and quality teaching, informed by industry and employers.

The Department of People and Performance

The Department benefits from strong industry partners and we work with a number of leading organisations to provide applied learning opportunities for our students and jobs for our graduates.

We also have long standing relationships with Professional Bodies including the CIPD and The Association of Business Psychology. Our graduates perform well in the labour market with 72% in highly skilled employment.

Research and innovation in the Department is driven through the Decent Work and Productivity Research Centre.

The aim of the centre is to identify what causes - and who has - decent work and productivity, and what can be done to shape a bright future for the world of work.

Working alongside organisations and policy makers, our research focuses on the changing nature of work, workplace wellbeing, creating greater diversity and social mobility in the workplace and generating decent and productive work in health and social care.
