    Salary:
    £56,100 - £65,007 Contract type: Full Time; Permanent

    M/LK Education Search is proud to be supporting this wonderfully vibrant SEMH provision in Greenwich, London to find their next SENCO.

    Supporting both Primary and Secondary age groups, and offering outreach services, they offer an outstanding education to pupils with SEMH and ASD needs.

    Pupils needs (and that of the families) are such that the SENDCo role is very involved, going beyond just annual reviews and attending TAC meetings.

    This opportunity requires someone with a clear understanding of the complexity of SEMH, the ability to devise and support interventions, work with families, outside agencies, support staff training, be a part of the SLT whilst being able to meet deadlines and priorities - as that is vital to the smooth operation of the building.

    You'll need to work collaboratively as well as under your own direction and occasionally cover the odd class if necessary.

    Certainly not a full time teaching role, but everyone chips in and supports when needed.

    The SENCO, under the direction of the Executive Headteacher and in conjunction with the Heads of School, will:
    Drive the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision across both settings
    Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability
    Strategic development of SEN policy and provision
    Operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of provision across multiple sites
    Support for pupils with SEN or a disability
    Leadership and management

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    SEN Qualification (e.g. Successful experience of leading and teaching within an SEMH environment
    Proven experience of assessing and monitoring individual pupil progress
