    *Registered Nurse* | Elderly Nursing Care | Cowbridge

    • Job Brief: *An opportunity for a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care for the residents of a welcoming and small care home on the outskirts of Cowbridge.
    • Key Points*
    • A small, homely, renovated older building which is a welcoming and clean care home with an excellent reputation outlined in the Good Care Inspectorate report.
    • Residents require general, palliative, nursing, dementia and residential care.
    • Some nursing duties are; creating care plans, medication, catheterisation, taking blood, overseeing care staff, leasing with GPs and relatives and promoting independence
    • You must hold an active NMC pin with an Adult, Mental Health or Learning Disability Nursing Qualification
    • Hours are full-time or part-time hours per week)
    • Shifts are either 10 hours or 12 hours on a changing rota each week and can involve alternate weekends
    • Salary is £21.50 per hour with paid breaks
    • Day and Night shift contracts are available
    • Up to 48 hours per week
    • The Care Home*
    The Care Home is small, friendly and welcoming and provides residential and nursing care for a small group of elderly residents, through a dedicated team of qualified nurses and healthcare professionals.

    The group has successfully run this care home locally for over 20 years. They invest in all staff members in a training program, rarely use agency, well-organised and overall care expertly for each resident.

    The home aims to be a home away from home for its residents. They aim to provide all the comforts they are accustomed to, as well as provide exemplary nursing care. It has a Good Care Inspectorate and is striving for excellence in care.
    • Experience & Personal attributes*
    • Minimum of 1-year post-qualifying nursing experience
    • Ideally, you have experience in; elderly, dementia, and palliative care within a Care Home environment
    • A caring and compassionate professional plus, a first-class communicator, enthusiastic & ambitious
    • Good knowledge of the most up-to-date clinical practices
    • Experience in producing well-developed care plans & risk assessments
    • Understanding of regulatory frameworks
    • Qualifications*
    • A Nursing qualification can be any of these; Adult, Learning Disability or Mental Health.
