    Willis Global has been assigned by our client, a rapidly expanding International Freight Forwarder, to support with the recruitment for an Operations Director to be based at offices in the London Heathrow area.

    On Offer:

    • level role reporting to the CEO for a fast-growing International Freight Forwarder
    • range: £90K- £130K, dependant on experience + Bonus + Car Allowance + Company Pension
    • development, courses, training
    • pattern: Monday-Friday 08:30-17:30 (24/7 operation, so the role will require after hour availability from time to time)

    Main Purpose of the Role:

    Reporting to the CEO, the Operations Director will manage & oversee operations in all departments AIR/SEA/ROAD/CUSTOMS/WAREHOUSE (Circa 70 staff). Implementing strategies to drive business growth and increase profit.

    Other Duties & Responsibilities:

    • and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ocean carriers, airlines, hauliers and other key suppliers.
    • operational processes
    • management responsibility for budgetary planning and full P&L accounts management.
    • current compliance, Health & Safety standards and KPI's.
    • the ability of wowing customers by creating positive customer experiences
    • active role in the management of procurement , bidding, and quoting to customers
    • after claims and insurance related matters.

    Skills & Experience

    • level: Extensive and current experience in the Freight Forwarding industry
    • experience: Proven experience in managerial role.
    • knowledge: Cargowise is advantage not a must.
    • commercial capabilities
    • strong leadership skills, including experience motivating staff and driving performance improvements.
    • successfully under pressure, including strong negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills.
    • IT skills & proficiency in MS Office.
    • English, written & verbal communication skills.
    • adaptable & proactive in your approach.
    • to multi-task and prioritise assignments based on urgency.
    • live within close proximity to London Heathrow.
