    Job Title: Student & Academic Services Manager

    Company: HIGHER EDUCATION

    Location: Central London

    Description: Recruitment Hunters is currently seeking an experienced Student & Academic Services Manager for their client in Central London. This is a 9-month FTC role starting soon. Ideal candidates should have prior experience working within a University setting, specifically in areas like Safeguarding, Student Services, Timetabling, and Academic Administration.

    About the Role:

    • Manage a team of 4 staff members overseeing Student Services and Academic Functions.
    • Ensure student satisfaction, enforce safeguarding policies, and promote student well-being.
    • Create a conducive environment for students to excel academically.
    • Lead and develop the Student Services team.

    Key Purpose of the Role - Student & Academic Services Manager:

    Manage and supervise the Student and Academic Services department, monitor student satisfaction targets, and ensure the smooth running of departmental operations.

    Welfare Management and Pastoral Support:

    • Provide pastoral care, welfare, and safety for students.
    • Act as a point of contact for student assistance.
    • Address personal problems students may face.
    • Stay informed about welfare issues and policy updates.
    • Support students from diverse backgrounds.
    • Enforce student-facing policies.

    Student Services / Academic Services / Operational Responsibilities:

    • Manage student voice processes and result analysis.
    • Supervise the Student and Academic Services team and Receptionist activities.
    • Coordinate timetables, monitor attendance, and handle student assessment results.
    • Collaborate with other departments for student success.
    • Support students during exceptional circumstances.
    • Organize examinations, social activities, and student events.
    • Update student information systems accurately.

    Education and Skills - Student & Academic Services Manager:

    • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
    • 3+ years experience in Higher Education Sector and Team Management.
    • Experience in Student Services, Academic Services, and Safeguarding/Wellbeing.

    This position offers a 9-month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) with a hybrid work model in Central London. Salary is negotiable based on experience plus excellent benefits.
