Special interests within the team are supported and further career development can be facilitated during this post, with additional time in the job plan.
Special interests to complement the department (such as Diabetes, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Child Protection, Rheumatology, Neonatology or Endocrinology) would be preferable, but all candidates would be considered.
As a newly formed Integrated Trust incorporating Barnstaple and Exeter, we expect this Consultant Paediatrician post to become networked with colleagues in Exeter and in other Trusts within Devon, providing further opportunities for research, teaching and development.
The acute hospital in Barnstaple is big enough to provide real opportunities for leadership and innovation, yet small enough to make agile, prompt and effective change a reality.
We perform highly against clinical standards and have a proven track record of staff satisfaction, enabling our doctors to focus on giving great care to patients.
