We are looking for a Head of Sustainability to assume responsibility for growing the footprint in the UK of Sustainable Services aligned closely with the DEKRA SE Service Divisions.
This role includes P&L responsibility, with a concentrated focus on marketing and business development activity.


Your main priority is to build a strong lead generation process, followed by ensuring we have the capabilities and capacity for service delivery, this role will define and manage sustainability services growth strategy in the UK.


In addition to this as our Head of Sustainability Services you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing a strategic plan for the business development and growth of sustainability services within the UK market.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Marketing and Business Development Teams on lead generation and sales funnel management.
  • Implement new sustainability services in the UK.
  • Lead and develop interdisciplinary business development and delivery teams, and provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
  • Support activities related to M&A, service development, and service transfer.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners, and represent DEKRA UK at relevant industry events and forums.
  • Provide performance insights and reporting.

In order to be successful within this role you must have / be:

  • Bachelor's degree in a sustainability services-related area, such as, environmental science, sustainability, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Significant experience in sustainability, environmental management, or related fields is essential.
  • A deep understanding of environmental sustainability principles, climate change, social responsibility, and relevant regulations and standards is necessary.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning
  • 5 or more years of B2B experience in development, implementation, delivery, and sales of sustainability services.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to sustainability services.
  • Familiarity with M&A, service development, and service transfer activities.
  • Strong leadership and management skills are crucial, including the ability to develop and implement strategies, set goals, and inspire others to achieve sustainability objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You should be able to engage with diverse stakeholders, build partnerships, and influence decisionmaking.
  • Have experience of managing people/teams.
  • Certification in the field of sustainability is an advantage.
