    Location : Office Base is London/Flexible - This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working

    Job Introduction

    Are you passionate about improving processes and driving efficiency? We are seeking experienced Lean Improvement Specialists to join our team.

    The BBC is embarking on programme to introduce a set of enhanced corporate processes across our operations internationally, with the aim of building a more robust and consistent experience for our international colleagues

    We are looking for an experienced Lean Improvement Specialists to work on this exciting large scale project. You will be confident and experienced in working collaboratively with functional areas to create effective end to end processes, that work together to ensure a professional operation and good experience for our staff. You will ideally have experience of processes for international operations and shared service centres.

    Main Responsibilities

  • Work with key internal functions such as HR, Finance and Legal to design new end to end processes or integrate new global services, with a focus on effectiveness and staff experience.
  • Design and lead working sessions with stakeholders and project teams to undertake root cause problem solving, design creative solutions and build shared ownership.
  • Work with stakeholders across the BBC to assess and recommend process improvements that support strategy and align with international constraints.
  • Present recommendations and breakdown complex challenges using clear visual management to supports stakeholders with decision making.
  • Identify where local improvement support will be required to embed process improvement changes.
  • Act as a catalyst for improvement and change, diagnosing problems and building confidence in teams with the art of the possible.
  • Coach and mentor functional teams where appropriate to enable further improvements.
  • Provide the Project Director with clear assessments of improvements. This will include documentation of current status, risks, issues, baselines, stakeholder views and measurable benefits.
  • Are you the right candidate?

  • Substantial experience in process improvement or related roles.
  • Significant hands on experience in Lean, Six Sigma and other quality process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of organisational dynamics and business processes
  • Experience of broadcasting, public service, international operations and shared service centres would be an advantage.
