- Provide technical leadership to a team of IT professionals to steer the process for developing, deploying and maintaining secure IT architecture and governance, ensuring that IT solutions delivered are aligned with Yorkshire Waters policy and standards whilst meeting corporate business needs.
- Maximise value and exploitation of security solutions within Yorkshire Water.
- Define security best practices in the design and implementation of solutions to drive down risk and facilitate the adoption of standard functionality. Leadership is a key requirement of the role, providing direction, coaching and development.
- Develop internal strategies that enable Yorkshire Water to evolve its technology investment enabling secure by design practices. They will ensure agreed architectures and patterns are adhered to and define governance standards. As the recognised expert they will contribute towards maximising value of both internal and external resources to ensure optimal solutions are delivered to the highest possible standard.
- Proven track record of large scale solution delivery, preferably in the utilities sector, undertaking a senior architectural role.
- Strong people management skills with the ability to mentor and inspire.
- Strong ability to articulate business master data requirements in relation to solution design.
- Understanding of architectural roles, domains, methodologies and design strategies.
- Experience of formal structured methodologies for solution design.
- Experience of undertaking technical leadership for a team of senior technical roles, providing direction and influence to ensure completion of activities.
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships at senior levels within an organisation ( Directors, Tier 2s).
- Ability to demonstrate relentless drive, energy and determination to deliver sustainable outperformance for YW that rigorously achieves against demanding competitive industry benchmarks and metrics from other organisations.

Salary: £45,454 – £67,338 + Bonus + Car allowance + 25 days hols + 8 bank holidays + enhanced employer pension contributions up to 10% of salary (BAND3B)
