- Experience in the creation and delivery of operational plans, including setting KPIs, monitoring performance against plans
- Comprehensive knowledge of SHE legislation, policies and procedures relevant to engineering area
- Significant experience of managing budgets and functional resources effectively to deliver plans
- Operational Maintenance resource management of an area of responsibility, to optimise the service delivery of all works as efficiently as possible.
- Define the Service Area to allow for seamless dynamic scheduling in the workforce management tool, update skillsets and availability of engineers
- Be the team lead in safety and quality
- Identify and implement areas of cost and performance improvement to increase operational efficiency and productivity
- Manage the most efficient delivery model of planned works, maintenance, upgrades and modifications on the full range of assets and network, establishing business priorities with minimal amount of truck rolls within the service area
- Manage/Prioritise operational responses to customer service issues and incidents, and where required liaising/escalating to Engineering for 2nd/3rd line support
- Provide technical and operational guidance to projects and resources to support installation, commissioning and transition into service
- Ensure accurate records, documentation and reporting of actions taken are completed and shared with other relevant stakeholders
- Manage the local budget for the field area, assisting with accurate budgeting for capital and operational expenditure, tracking budget variances and maximising recovery benefit for Arqiva
- Provide resource and knowledge support to deliver strategic projects / initiatives to deliver benefit for Arqiva
- Ensure testing and measurement is completed within the team to comply with regulatory, industry and customer requirements
- Help support the production and delivery of work instructions and other appropriate tools and materials to support service and technical delivery
- Lead the continuous improvement of operating performance, policies, processes and procedures
- Drive and deliver team engagement
- Comprehensive background knowledge and experience of technologies such as RF, power and environment, analogue and digital principles, electronics and ICT Networking
- Extensive knowledge of maintenance schedules and procedures
- Working knowledge of project management principles and the project management lifecycle; actively contributes to or leads engineering project
