    Want to join our partners – Scottish Water. As an E & M Multi Skilled Craftsperson you will join our fantastic Electrical/Mechanical maintenance team and become a crucial part of delivering top-notch service to Water and Waste stakeholders.

    You will be work with Scottish Water's Operation Team in the Grampian area.

    In the northeast of Scotland, SW operates and maintains a network of waste water treatment works and pumping stations serving various communities in and around Aberdeen. Each day we provide treatment to over 110,000 m3 of liquid waste before discharge to sea or river and actively protect the aquatic ecosystems of the region.     What you'll do

    You'll be the hero of repairs, installations, and maintenance for Waste Water. Using your amazing Mechanical skills, you'll tackle issues for both our awesome internal team and sometimes even our external customers.

    You'll collaborate with the workflow team to plan and coordinate resources. Whether it's reacting to incidents or tackling planned work, you'll ensure things run like clockwork while keeping costs in check.

    Safety's a big deal, and you'll be the champion of it. You will be undertaking Risk Assessments to help with the selection of appropriate equipment and safe working practices

    What you'll need

    For this role you will need to have, served a full apprenticeship, and hold an HNC or NC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience) and you will need a driving licence.

    You'll be the master of all things mechanical. Working within a maintenance/operational engineering environment, preferably on a Water Network.

    Being friendly, confident, and a top communicator is key. You'll interact with both our internal and external customers, giving them updates and always leaving them with a smile.

    You'll bring strong communication skills and confidence working on your own. And be comfortable turning your hand to new computer systems – we like to move with the times.

    You'll always have health and safety at the top of your list, making sure we tick every box of every regulation.

    This role has some weekend working and standby requirements. But you'll get plenty of time to recharge with 38 days of holiday every year (including 6 fixed public holidays).     The not-so-small print

    This role will be a Grade 6. If you're new to Scottish Water, you'll join us on a starting salary of £33,560 . Performance-driven pay progression would then allow you to move through the range to a maximum of £41,140.
