About the Role:
The position of Well-being Officer in the Duty and Assessment team involves working closely with children, parents, and extended family members to assist Qualified Social Workers in assessing and providing support to families. The team prides itself on being highly supportive and nurturing, ensuring that new team members feel welcomed and comfortable. As a Wellbeing Worker, you will be responsible for managing your schedule to conduct visits and communicate with families independently, creating a secure environment for children in vulnerable situations. Your role will include collaborating with social workers, overseeing parent-child interactions, conducting home evaluations, engaging in one-on-one sessions with children to understand their needs, assisting with social work visits, and contributing to assessment reports.
About You:
Responsibilities:
Well-being Workers primarily engage in direct interactions with children aged 0-18, often involving parents as well. Some tasks may include providing brief interventions to assist parents in enhancing their skills or supporting children in developing self-esteem and personal safety awareness. Additionally, you will liaise with partner agencies to exchange information in compliance with GDPR regulations, as well as gather data for assessments. Well-being Workers play a crucial role in collaborating with social workers to establish and oversee safety plans for families.
