    PRODUCT DESIGN CONSULTANT – MEDICAL
    Full Time


    Based:
    Harwell with the opportunity for flexible home working 1-2 days a week.

    To play a key role in the design and development of innovative medical and healthcare products at OPD.

    We're looking for an experienced product designer with a minimum of five years of medical and healthcare product development experience, preferably gained in a consultancy environment.

    Maintaining quality, processes, procedure and standards within the business and demonstrating a meticulous and methodical approach to project delivery

    • Communicating with clients clearly and confidently while showing sound commercial judgement
    • Delivering projects within scope, to time and on budget
    • Collaborating effectively with colleagues and actively mentoring junior members of staff
    • 5 years minimum of relevant medical and healthcare product design experience
    • Degree in Design or Engineering related discipline
    • Excellent 3D CAD skills (preferably SolidWorks)

    The collaborative nature of this role means that you will be expected to be in the office at minimum three days a week, but there is the opportunity to work flexibly from home as and when this fits with project delivery requirements.

    After 3 years of working at OPD you can apply for an unpaid sabbatical of up to 3 months, increasing to 6 months after 6 years.

    You'll be allocated ten days of training per year, with a training budget of up to 5% of your annual salary.
