    The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and welcoming department at a dynamic school located in Slough.

    The appointed Art Teacher must:

    Hold a valid teaching qualification or UK equivalent, such as a PGCE in Art/B. Ed with QTS
    Demonstrate excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
    Possess a strong knowledge of Art
    Bring new expertise to the Art Department
    Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    Create and implement a comprehensive plan for teaching art and art history, ensuring learning objectives are met,
    Invest in art supplies and maintain inventory levels.
    Organise and set up the classroom's art supplies and tools for student use.
    Deliver lectures on art, art techniques, art history, and aesthetics to students.
    Demonstrate drawing and painting techniques to students.
    Teach students how to use various drawing, painting, and colouring techniques.
    Inspire students by discussing different artistic traditions and techniques.
    Instruct students on proper use of art supplies, including charcoal, pencils, brushes, watercolours, acrylic paints, and oil paints.
    Assign and assess art tasks and track student progress.
    Curate art exhibitions to showcase student work and assist with developing student art portfolios.
    Attend faculty meetings, contribute to improving the art programme, and participate in parent-teacher conferences.
