DP World Infrastructure Architect, Projects and Disaster Recovery Specialist

DP World is recruiting for an Infrastructure Architect, Projects, and Disaster Recovery Specialist to work within the Regional IT Project Delivery function.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Manager of Infrastructure Architecture on IT Strategy, roadmap, technical strategies, and technical architecture roadmap.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing cutting-edge IT systems, ensuring business continuity, and supporting Disaster Recovery.

Please note that there will be a 10-30% travel requirement to attend team and site meetings, with potential ad hoc travel across Europe as needed.

This role encompasses escalation, projects, business development, IT processes, and vendor management in collaboration with teams, PMO, and Manager of Infrastructure Architecture.

# Responsible for planning, architecture design, and implementation of highly-available and uniform Infrastructure solutions to support key business applications and goals.
# Driving annual Disaster Recovery tests in Data Centres and sharing information with the Audit team.
# Conducting strategic technology planning to achieve corporate goals.
# Considering performance, fault tolerance, high availability, disaster recovery, long-term support, licensing, 3rd party commitments, and obligations in solution designs.
# Attending meetings and facilitating communication among teams, working closely with Manager Infrastructure Architecture on key projects.


Qualifications:

A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, business administration or commerce, or a combination of equivalent professional training and certifications, with a minimum of 5 years related work experience in this or equivalent position(s).

Strong technical IT background, organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex projects while effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical individuals are required.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of strong experience in IT Infrastructure; Proficiency in Risk Management best practices, business continuity planning, and maintaining excellent uptime.

Broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies, strategic application to business needs, and providing timely technical support.
