    Description
    WindGrid is a subsidiary of international electricity transmission utility Elia Group, the 5th largest transmission utility in Europe.

    WindGrid develops, builds, owns, and operates offshore transmission infrastructure, leveraging Elia Group's decades of experience in offshore transmission infrastructure, gained from its subsidiaries, Elia and 50Hertz, transmission system owners and operators (TSOs) in Belgium and Germany.

    Both TSOs operate at the heart of the European electricity system as they provide vital links between the various electricity producers and their 30 million end users.

    The Group's high voltage network, with its intricately meshed 18,600 km grid, transports the electricity generated by the producers to the distribution system operators and major industrial consumers.

    In addition, interconnectors with several neighboring countries allow electricity trade in wider European energy markets. WindGrid is a remote team across Europe with head offices in both Brussels and Berlin.


    Your responsibilities:

    You will be a member of an international and agile team, comprising market & business development, offshore engineering and financing experts.

    You will, as contribution to the overall strategy of the Group, provide crucial input for the valuation of investment opportunities and preparation of investment decisions.

    As Investment Manager / Commercial manager you will also support M&A and structuring activities for WindGrid in the EU and US.


    Your key responsibilities will include:
    Carry out quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess the financial attractiveness of project opportunities (e.g. offshore grid development)
    Prepare, execute and steer financial due diligence processes for investment opportunities
    Support/Lead the bidding process for transmission solicitations
    Support/Lead M&A and structuring activities in the US and EU
    Support/Lead the negotiation of partnership documentation; Joint Bidding Agreements, Joint development Agreements etc.
    Work with the Business Development team to identify investment/origination opportunities
    Collaborate with other Elia Group entities departments, including Group M&A and Group Finance, to ensure the successful execution of investment strategies


    Your profile:
    At least 5 years of experience in private equity, corporate finance, M&A or strategy consulting
    Experience in the negotiation of partnership agreements
    Strong valuation and financial modelling experience
    Excellent knowledge of capital market theory and in-depth familiarity with valuation-related topics
    Experience with complex buy/sell/operate investment decisions & calculations
    Experience in writing target group-specific, independent and balanced investment decision papers and presenting it to the relevant management functions
    Good commercial and business acumen
    Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines while assuring high quality and accuracy
    Internationally experienced team player who can work effectively with different cultures and diverse teams
    Fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch, German or French is a plus
    Mobility and flexibility, willing to travel abroad for international assignments depending on the business development or projects needs
