Business Development Manager (North) -HGV Safety Solutions

Based out of our Leeds Head Office, covering the North.

Full Time 40hrs, Permanent, Monday to Friday

£40,000pa basic dependent on experience + uncapped commission

Due to our continued progressive growth and further expansion into our new purpose built Head Office and Workshop Facility in Leeds, SM UK has a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager (North) to join our HGV Safety Systems Division.


SM UK are recognised as the largest service partner in Europe for Brigade Electronics, the UK's biggest manufacturer of vehicle safety systems, including the latest safety cameras, technology and after-market products providing bespoke solutions for clientsup and down the country.


We are looking to recruit an experienced, highly proactive, enthusiastic and target driven Business Development Manager for the North who can confidently communicate at all levels.

You will be motivated and ambitious and want to be part of our expandingTeam with a desire to increase your knowledge and experience to further develop your future career with us.


Ideally you will have previous HGV Vehicle or Bodybuilder experience within the automotive industry or similar background such as working within a Commercial Vehicle Dealership.

You will have strong technical, communication and presentation skills to deliver potential and existing customers with an array of vehicle safety solutions.

You will be supported by strong, focused marketing, and a wealth of industry knowledge and technicalexperience from our existing Team.

A technical understanding would be an advantage, as would experience of dealing with HGV vehicles and industry experience.


Your duties will include but not limited to the following:

  • Sale of Vehicle Safety Solutions and After Market Products
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets, with uncapped commission potential
  • Achieving Key Performance Indicators set
  • Northern lead generation and networking
  • Building and maintaining a database of quality leads/pipeline throughout the North
  • Quotation creation using our inhouse system and proactive followups
  • Account/customer relationship management
  • Providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Following internal procedures
  • Liaising effectively with internal departments to provide a seamless and exceptional customer service.
