- Prepare surfaces of plant machinery and equipment for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and filling.
- Select appropriate paint materials and colors for specific projects.
- Set up and operate paint spraying equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
- Apply paint coatings to plant machinery and equipment using spraying, brushing, or rolling techniques.
- Maintain uniformity and quality throughout the painting process, ensuring smooth finishes and coverage.
- Monitor drying times and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper curing.
- Follow paint specifications, project instructions, and safety guidelines with accuracy.
- Inspect finished painted surfaces for defects, imperfections, or missed spots and make necessary touch-ups.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint booth and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and practices at all times.
- Proven experience as a Plant and Machinery Paint Sprayer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of paint materials, equipment, and techniques in automotive or industrial painting.
- Familiarity with surface preparation, priming, and quality control processes.
- Ability to match paint colors and create uniform finishes.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina for extended periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols in paint spraying environments.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
