    Following the appointment of our new Chief Executive and directors, we are building a senior leadership team to deliver a Stronger, Fairer and Greener county.

    Our Head of Finance will lead and direct a finance function that is resourced and fit for purpose.

    They will lead the promotion and delivery by the whole organisation of good financial management so that public money is safeguarded at all times and used appropriately, economically, efficiently and effectively.

    The Medium-Term Financial Strategy
    Internal Audit
    Financial, Capital and Assess Strategy
    Commercial Services
    Powys Pension Fund
    Risk Management The Head of Finance will also be the designated Deputy S151 Officer.

    This is a flexible worker position and therefore the Council offers the opportunity to work in an agile way to include home working.

    For this role, however, there will be an expectation to work in County Hall in Llandrindod Wells / other council office for a minimum of 3 days a week.
