Job Opening: Security Engineer in Cryptography at ANGOKA

Are you passionate about ensuring the security of critical machine-to-machine (M2M) communications in Smart Cities and Smart Mobility? ANGOKA is a company that focuses on providing groundbreaking, quantum-safe solutions that protect device identities, ensure communication integrity, and establish data provenance.

We are currently seeking a Security Engineer in Cryptography (Cryptographer) with a love for challenges and a research-oriented mindset. In this role, you will be involved in developing innovative research into authentication and encryption products that are both commercially viable and reliable.

As a part of our team, you will play a key role in supporting research efforts related to IoT Security, Identity of Things (IDoT), M2M communication security, authentication, zero-trust networks, and zero-knowledge systems.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with colleagues on implementing cryptographic protocols
Contribute to the development, testing, and implementation of countermeasures against side channel analysis and known attacks on cryptographic protocols
Liaise with the Engineering Team to facilitate the transition of research code into robust production software integrated within our hardware security module

Requirements:

Minimum qualification of an MSc degree in cyber security, cryptography, mathematics, computer science, or a related field with significant mathematical content
Strong knowledge of cyber security fundamentals
Experience in system programming using C, C++, or Python
Effective communication skills in both written and spoken English
Self-starter and team player with a commitment to project completion and delivering results
Curious mindset with a desire to learn and expand security knowledge
PhD in cryptography, cyber security, mathematics, physics, or a related field is a plus
