When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family.

Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.

About the role


The Supporter Engagement team's main purpose is to engage with a variety of audiences, including our supporters and volunteers, providing support, guidance and resolution for a diverse range of enquiries.

As a Supporter Engagement Officer, your role is to enable the Supporter Engagement team to deliver outstanding supporter and customer experiences as well as optimise our income opportunities


This includes:

  • The recruitment, management and training of the Supporter Engagement Assistants, providing pastoral care, support and guidance
  • Effectively planning the operations and workload of the team
  • Managing, resolving, and where necessary escalating complaints and feedback
  • Working collaboratively with different teams to build trusted and positive working relationships.
  • We would love to hear from you if you have:
  • Managing, supervising or leading a team within a call centre or customer service setting
  • Delivering coaching or training to a team with the aim of improving performance
  • Effective complaints and feedback handling, including working directly with customers or supporters on the phone and in writing
  • Building and maintaining positive internal and external relationships
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Along with the other team members, this role is based in the Bristol office. You will be in the office 5 days per week - Monday-Friday.
