Stores Supervisor - Clevedon, United Kingdom - New Resource Group

Description

We are delighted to be working on behalf of a market leading and successful organisation who are recognised as leaders within Standby Power Solutions to assist them in finding a Stores Supervisor to join their team.

As Stores Supervisor you will report to the Production Manager and may have relationships with all other departments including Production, System Test, Purchasing and Engineering.

This will be a hands-on role, responsible for around 4 immediate staff members. There will be a requirement for monthly reporting against set KPIs.

Responsibilities and Duties within the role

Physical goods inwards & other movements

• To unload goods delivered and move them to their designated location.

Stores and Kitting

• To manage computerised stock control system and record all movements into and out of stores and production

Final inspection, Packing & Despatch of finished goods

• To complete inspection procedures of finished goods as per quality standards.

Storage & Housekeeping

• To store and maintain all stock in an organised, safe & tidy manner (5S)
• Join the green team and contribute, implement ideas for waste and packaging improvements to reduce carbon footprint.

Supervisor

• Responsible for 4 staff members in two locations.

Qualifications / Knowledge

• Fork Lift Licence
• Computerised stock control
• Microsoft Word / Excel
• Lean 5S

• Supervisor or Team Leader of a small team of operatives
