    We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Youth Partnership Coordinator to join Community Youth Services. Our service is made up of a number of youth engagement services that seek to support young people where they are at: Targeted, Specialist and Universal Community Youth Services. Our mission is to offer safe, creative and ambitious Community Youth Services to all Sheffield young residents.

    The post is within Community Youth Services and will be within the Performance, Quality Assurance and Impact Service within Community Youth Services. As a Youth Partnership Coordinator, your role will be to work with partners, both statutory and the Voluntary, Community and Faith sector. You will coordinate and support the Sheffield Youth Partnership in designing a new city-wide youth strategy and monitor the associated action plan and oversee the development of key actions set by the partnership.

    The role also requires someone who has expertise in social media channels who can support with content and help us celebrate the great things happening in Community Youth Services and help to showcase and promote our work within our communities.

    Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop relationships with all partners and support ongoing mapping of city provision for young people.
  • To facilitate the functioning of Sheffield Youth Partnership meetings including business support at meetings.
  • To understand the needs of the partnership and effectively respond to these with key project management tools.
  • Facilitate the involvement and engagement of young residents into the partnership.
  • To manage a small budget to support the development of the partnership functions including events/ training.
  • To arrange events and facilitate key stakeholders on designing the content of events.
  • To develop a city-wide professional training calendar that can be communicated each quarter.
  • To write reports and presentations that update wider stakeholders including Local Area Committees on the development of the partnership.
  • To maintain a quarterly Sheffield Youth Partnership bulletin and seek contributions from the whole partnership to promote success, good practice and opportunities.
  • Working with partners and Community Youth Services colleagues to deliver a Sheffield Young Residents Day annually.
  • To map city wide service development needs and to create a partnership calendar that responds to these needs.
  • To write, co-design and co-ordinate the production of key strategic documents in strong consultation with stakeholders.
  • To monitor the annual delivery plan of the partnership and manage actions and communication in relation to this.
  • To advise the Head of Service on the developments within the partnership.
  • The post is 18.5 hours a week and is flexible within office hours, but days fixed once agreed. The role is currently part office time and part working from home.
