    Stores/Goods In - Wickford

    SUMMARY:

    To ensure goods and services are produced efficiently, at the right cost and level of quality, in-line with company standards and schedule.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Understand the Quality Management System Quality Brief.
  • To clock in/out and fill in time cards correctly.
  • Monitor product standards and implement quality control programmes - ISO9001, ISO14001 and Q1
  • Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Responsible for the day to day running of the stores, goods in/out area.
  • Packing, documentation and Shipping of products.
  • Material Handling ensuring:

    All Material delivered to Leidos Industrial Engineers is identified by its unit detail or number and contained within the holding area awaiting booking in. All material received must be booked in using the Leidos Stock system. All corresponding paperwork including delivery notes must be given to Administration. All material must be checked to ensure the order is correct, not damaged, correct grade and measured where necessary. Ensure that any parts or material that are leaving site for further processes are booked out and booked in. Any parts or material that are leaving site for further processes are sample masked if necessary.

    ● Bought Out Parts:

    All bought out parts must be booked in on the Leidos Stock list system. Ensure all bought in parts are inspected for quality and quantity. All bought out parts once booked in are put together as kits and stored within the Workshop with identification signs. All corresponding paperwork must be given to the relevant department.

    Other Functions

    ● Housekeeping (clean, efficient and safe work place).

    ● Assist in the loading/unloading of delivery vehicles.

    ● All storage areas within the Workshop are kept clean and tidy.

    Communication

  • Create an environment of open communication
  • Effectively communicate Facilities strategy & operational requirements to teams
  • Ensure a 2-way flow of communication to eliminate ambiguity & ensure that responsibility is clearly defined and delegated accordingly
  • Excellent communication skills – Written and oral
  • Liaise with the Managers and Supervisors.
  • Inform the Workshop Manager if there are any issues preventing you completing your duties.
