    Overview


    Weare seeking a Medical Collections Officer for Occupational HealthTesting to ensure the efficient and accurate collection of medicalsamples from individuals undergoing occupational health testing.

    Asa Medical Collections Officer you will play a crucial role inmaintaining the health and safety of employees in variousindustries by ensuring that their medical samples are collected andhandledcorrectly.

    Responsibilities

    Collecting medical samples:
    You will be responsible for collectingurine samples from individuals undergoing occupational healthtesting. This will involve following strict protocols andprocedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of thesamples.
    Conducting MedicalExaminations and testings such as hearing test visual tests alcoholtesting Colour Blind Testing BMI and basicobservations.

    Ensuring propersample handling:

    You will be responsible for ensuring that allcollected samples are properly labelled stored and transported tothe appropriate laboratory for analysis.

    You will need to followestablished guidelines and protocols to maintain the integrity ofthe samples throughout the collection and transportationprocess.

    Maintaining accuraterecords:

    You will be required to maintain detailed and accuraterecords of all collected samples including information such as thedate and time of collection the individuals identification detailsand any relevant medical history.

    This information will be crucialfor tracking and tracing samples as well as for maintaining theprivacy and confidentiality of individuals medicalinformation.


    Adhering toregulatory requirements:

    You will need to stay up to date withrelevant regulations and guidelines related to occupational healthtesting and medical sample collection.

    This includes understandingand following protocols for infection control privacy andconfidentiality and ensuring compliance with any applicable laws orindustry standards.

    Providingexcellent customer service:
    As a Medical Collections Officer youwill interact with individuals undergoing testing on a regularbasis. It is important to provide a professional and friendlydemeanour ensuring that individuals feel comfortable and supportedthroughout the collection process. You may need to answer questionsprovide explanations and address any concerns or issues that mayarise.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    Minimum of FREC 3 or FAW

    Knowledge of medical terminology:
    Familiarity with medicalterminology and an understanding of different types of occupationalhealth tests will be beneficial in thisrole.


    Attention to detail:

    Theability to follow strict protocols and procedures while maintaininga high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential inensuring the reliability and integrity of collectedsamples.


    Communication skills:


    Strong communication skills both written and verbal are importantfor effectively interacting with individuals undergoing testing aswell as for maintaining clear and accuraterecords.



    Requirements:

    Approximately 2 days a week availability(week)

    Availability to attendonline training on the week commencing on the 4th March andPhysical training in Doncaster on the 11th March.

    (Assistance withtravel expenses will be given and a training rate of 12 /hr will bepaid for the time duration of thetraining)
