- Previous demonstrable experience working in a similar Cloud Data Engineer (Google Cloud Platform) role in a complex technical environment
- Experience with Data ingestion design and implementation from internal / external sources & APIs
- Solid ability to code data pipelines as per provided design using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) components like Big Query, Dataflow, Cloud Composer
- Experience in performing code peer reviews with the Designers or Architects
- Run and monitor the data integration processes
The other stuff we are looking for - Knowledge on implementing applications using Kubernetes.
- Experienced in dbt
- Have used Cloud Composer or Apache Airflow for job automation and orchestration.
- Experience in having worked in an Agile environment

The IT Data Architecture team plays a pivotal role in setting the strategic technical direction of Virgin Media O2 data platforms, services, and end to end delivery. Exploitation of data is key for both the business and technology strategies.
You'll use ground breaking technologies on GCP and on-premises to design and build outstanding data pipelines (both batch & real-time) to provide relevant data to Data analysts, Data Scientists and Digital product teams.
