1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Streatham


We are looking for dynamic and adaptable 1:1 Teaching Assistants, that will be able to support pupils on a daily basis in the classroom, from Primary level to Secondary level.

This role is full time, long term ongoing, starting ASAP.

Due to the variety of support needed, experience supporting different needs is highly desirable.

You will play a key role in supporting the pupils with communication, learning, and independence, in a safe and inclusive environment to help their development.

The positions start in September, for the whole academic year and potentially beyond.


Responsibilities:


  • Supporting pupils with a wide range of needs
  • Supervising pupil's behaviour
  • Encouraging and supporting the pupils learning and development
  • Supporting social interaction
  • Helping the teacher prepare for lessons and plan activities

Requirements:


  • Experience of supporting children or adults with a variety of needs
  • Experience supporting children with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Available 5 days a week
  • Able to commit to 612 months
