- Use our housing management system to monitor all rent accounts and generate appropriate communications to our customers.
- Carry out weekly system adjustments following the posting of Housing Benefit and DWP payments by our Finance team utilising available online benefit checkers and portals.
- Ensure the effective use of IT in logging details of all activity on customer accounts to include all incoming and outgoing calls, e mails, written correspondence, and text messages ensuring relevant action is taken.
- Requirement of individual RSO's to support the Customer Service and Support team via the Duty rota.
- Apply for Rent Arrears Direct payments for those customers in receipt of HB and maximise income through DHP's where applicable.
- Commence appropriate action on all arrears cases and arrange the service of Notice of Seeking Possessions in accordance with current policies and procedures.
- Prepare eviction approval requests for the Head of Communities in accordance with current policies and procedures.
- Assist in the implementation of arrears campaigns, rent/service charge changes, yearend procedures, rent statements checks and credit refund campaigns. Rent Support Officer
