    Highly Specialist Physiotherapist - Inpatients respiratory and medical

    Physiotherapy

    Are you and experienced B6 or existing B7 physiotherapist with an interest in respiratory care of both adults and paediatrics? An opportunity has arisen for a fixed term contract, ending August 2025, covering maternity leave to deliver the role of clinical lead in respiratory here at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.

    The post holder will be responsible for delivery of a clinical physiotherapy service to the adult acute medical wards including general medical wards, orthopaedics, day surgical unit, cardiology ward, endocrine ward, frailty service and gynaecology surgery. They will also provide leadership and clinical support and to inpatient paediatrics.

    Specialist Occupational Therapist - Stroke and Rehabilitation

    Specialist Occupational Therapist

    We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative and friendly band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our Stroke, Rehabilitation and Early Supported Discharge Team at the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals Trust.

    This is a fixed term position covering maternity leave and will therefore be offered with an end date of early April 2025. The post is 0.5 WTE or 18.75 hours per week. You will be based at the Princess Royal Hospital Telford covering the inpatient stroke unit.

    We are looking for the post holder to have experience in Stroke or neurology. You must have current HCPC registration relevant to this position.

    Salary: £35,392.00 – £42,618 per annum Closing Date: 13/05/2024 Job Ref: 223-SOR-113 Location: The Princess Royal Hospital

    This post will provide a key strategic role in the development of POCT support services within the Trust but also across all healthcare partners. The role will build a POCT support service within the department which will in turn deliver accreditable POCT testing systems within the Trust. The role is expected to expand into the community and other healthcare settings as the local transformation programmes develop. The post will require the post-holder to work at both the PRH and RSH site. It is also likely that some work will require travel to primary and community care sites

    Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist - Stroke and ESD

    We are delighted to be able to offer this position as a permeant part-time contact at 0.7WTE, 26.25hours per week. Though for the first year, from June 2024 as a result of a maternity leave vacancy with in the inpatient stroke team, full time hours can be offered on a fixed term basis.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital Heart Assessment Team for an Exercise Physiologist.

    Therapeutic Radiographer (3 years Apprenticeship under AfC Annex 21)

    Radiotherapy

    The successful applicant must meet the entry requirements for the Therapeutic Radiographer Degree Apprenticeship (Hons) Therapeutic Radiography and Imaging at Sheffield Hallam University. This is a 3-year course funded by the Apprenticeship Levy Scheme.

    We are seeking applications from suitably qualified Radiographers to join our team in at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, in Shrewsbury.

    This opportunity is primarily within the treatment areas, however, there may be an opportunity to work in pre-treatment.

    We offer a supportive, collaborative working environment and the chance to participate in our Radiographer led initiatives including Review Clinics, Site specific MDTs, virtual simulation and IGRT.

    We actively encourage role development and support staff in achieving their personal goals and aspirations. All staff have the opportunity to work flexible hours; full-time posts work 37.5 hours over four long days with a rolling day off. This is for a part time position, working 2 days a week from 8:00am to 18:00pm.

    All staff participate in on-call for emergency patients at the weekend, late rota and on call.

    We are seeking applications from suitably qualified Radiographers already working as a Band 6 in the Radiotherapy Department in Shrewsbury. Candidates, however must have an in-depth knowledge and a passion for IGRT. The post will involve working clinically on the treatment units, providing support to other Radiographers on IGRT issues when required as well as some managerial responsibilities.

    On-going professional development is actively encouraged.

    The department consists of 3 Varian Linear Accelerators; including 2 Truebeams, a Gulmay Unit and a Toshiba wide bore CT scanner with radiographer-led palliative virtual simulation using Eclipse. We have an active Clinical Trials department and participate in most major trials.

    We have recently introduced Lung SABR and are planning on expanding this service in the next few months. Further technical developments are planned for introduction in the near future.
