Who You Are:


  • You are a highly motivated and experienced Intelligence and Reporting Officer with an ability to identify and lead intelligence initiatives. You excel at scoping and producing comprehensive reports, creating technical specification logs, and other supporting documents. With versatile knowledge and understanding of children's services, including social care, SEND, education and Early Help, you can seamlessly identify performance gaps.
  • You are a skilled interpreter of legislation and can develop performance activities that align with compliance from national to local policy developments. You come in with a mindset that is intelligenceled for the development, delivery, and commissioning of services.
  • You have a diligent eye for delivering statutory and nonstatutory reporting requirements, with the ability to independently initiate, prioritize and conclude projects whilst working collaboratively with IT and service leads to achieve strategic goals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SQL Server/Oracle, Data Architecture and warehouse solutions, and Power BI/SSRS, you have a strong and demonstrable technical skillset with a penchant for driving improvements using data analytics.

What the Job Involves:


  • As a Performance and Intelligence Reporting Officer, you will take the lead on several intelligence initiatives by identifying, scoping, and producing comprehensive reports. Your work involves collaborating with senior officers and performance team members to pinpoint performance issues spanning the entirety of children's services.
  • You will interpret legislation and formulate performance activities to ensure compliance with all level policy developments. Your role is pivotal in driving the development of an intelligenceled approach to service delivery and commissioning.
  • One of your main duties includes delivering against statutory and nonstatutory reporting requirements. You will also support Liverpool City Council's Improvement Plan and the SEND Selfevaluation with needed data.
  • The role involves a significant amount of research and analysis, and you will be preparing briefing notes as required. Work entails collaboration with IT colleagues and service leads to develop software solutions in Power BI and create SQL reports. You will also be instrumental in leading the development of a data warehouse and data analytics.
