    Overview

    Everest People Solutions are recruiting an experienced Effluent Operator to join a business based in Penrith. Reporting into the Quality Assurance Manager, as Effluent Operator you will be performing cleaning, disinfection, and upkeep of septic tanks, filters, and screens utilized in wastewater systems. Administering chemical additives to water as required. Monitoring levels of water and gas. Utilising handheld meters, control panels, or computer interfaces to gather readings. Conducting analysis of water and wastewater samples. Maintaining meticulous records of observations and data.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities for the Effluent Operator

    • Ensure effective execution of the Quality Assurance (QA) function in accordance with documented operating procedures.
    • Establish robust lines of communication with the planning and quality assurance team to enhance planning, quality, and information flow.
    • Develop and uphold procedures for handling out-of-specification results.
    • Compile data from quality control (QC) checks and laboratory analyses into spreadsheets.
    • Take immediate action on out-of-specification results and keep senior staff informed of the steps taken.
    • Provide innovative ideas for process improvement as part of ongoing continuous improvement efforts.
    • Execute QA functions in alignment with quality systems and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
    • Ensure that activities align with organizational standards for quality management, health and safety, legal requirements, environmental policies, and general duty of care.
    • Perform other duties as instructed by the Quality Assurance Manager or Senior Quality Assurance Technician.
