Are you a dedicated and compassionate Community Psychiatric Nurse seeking an exciting career opportunity? Look no further Newcastle West Mental Health is currently seeking motivated individuals to join their dynamic team as CPNs.
We have both full-time and part-time positions available, offering a fantastic Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients within the community setting.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Administer medications, monitor their effectiveness, and provide education to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and implement treatment interventions.
- Offer support, counseling, and crisis intervention to patients experiencing mental health challenges.
- Facilitate and participate in group therapy sessions and psychoeducation programs.
Requirements:
- Valid nursing qualification and registration as a Community Psychiatric Nurse.
- Proven experience in community mental health nursing is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work autonomously while also being a strong team player.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with best practices.
