Finance Assistant | Hybrid Working | Central Manchester | £20,000 - £26,000 (Study Support Provided)
Established in 2013, Castlefield Recruitment (now part of the Castlefield Group) is a privately owned recruitment consultancy. We operate nationally across the Public, Private and Professional Services sectors.


With 50 staff across two city centre offices in Manchester and Leeds, we have seen phenomenal growth over the last 24 months, due mainly to our friendly and knowledgeable team of consultants.


Driven by the continued expansion of our business we are now seeking to add a Finance Assistant to further cement this success, and this role will form an important part of our expanding finance/compliance and administration function.


Working within a small Finance team, and based in our Manchester office, you will be responsible for driving the debt collection for the company and maintaining the sales ledger.


Key aspects of the role will be:

  • Assistance with the monthly management accounts
  • Production of weekly sales reports
  • Production and distribution of weekly and monthly sales invoices
  • Processing bank receipts on Sage 50 accounts, using remittances to allocate funds accurately on client accounts
  • Posting current account bank transactions on Sage 50 accounts
  • Investigating and resolving queries with sales invoices, such as chasing purchase orders, invoice addressing queries, shift queries
  • Responsibility for processing employee expenses
  • Analysis of monthly company credit card statements
  • Adhoc reporting

Experience Required

  • Prior experience in a finance role would be preferred
  • Confident at working with external portals and internal accounting software
  • Experience of Sage 50 accounts is desirable
  • Good Excel skills
