The Millennium Hotel Glasgow is seeking an experienced Kitchen Assistant who will assist the Kitchen Manager in ensuring high standards of cleanliness within the Kitchen areas. The role will also include basic food preparation duties, as required.

As a Kitchen Assistant responsibilities will include:

Carrying out cleaning duties as required based on the cleaning schedule
Washing dishes, pots, pans and catering equipment
Ensuring hygienic practices at all times
Using required chemicals safely
Ensuring work areas are clean, safe and tidy at all times
Carrying out basic food preparation tasks, as required
Adhering to all regulations in respect of Health & Safety, Hygiene, Guest Safety, Fire Regulations, Emergency Procedures, etc.

What are we looking for?

Previous experience in as Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Steward/Kitchen Assistant, is advantageous
The ability to work within initiative and as part of a team
High standards and a 'can do' attitude
