- Responsible for examining and improving PLC Systems site-wise
- Determine and diagnose hardware and software related faults
- Modify and program electronic controls systems
- Support with electrical and mechanical breakdown repairs
- Support improvement activities to increase performance on automated equipment
- Manage production systems backups
- Maintain technical manuals and instruction documents

- Advanced Siemens PLC Programming
- Simatic HMI Programming
- Siemens S7 PLC networking
- Microsoft Office Applications ITQ Level 2
- HND or equivalent in Electronic Engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, EITB, Diploma or equivalent)
- Programming and control of electronic systems equipment
- Computer studies
- Basics of mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Problem-solving experience in a high-volume production environment

An exciting opportunity to join a leading automotive company in Solihull as a PLC Control Engineer. Paying an attractive salary of £50,000 - £55,000 working Monday to Thursday (on days) this role offers variety and an opportunity to work with a super car brand. The PLC Control Engineer must have experience with Siemens controls and an electrical and mechanical bias. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your duties will include the following:
