    The team

    Workplace Technology is a pivotal department within ITV, they provide us with all the tools to do our jobs efficiently and successfully. The department is forever innovating to ensure that ITV employees have the best systems and tools available. We are seeking an experienced Engineer to join this innovative team.

    The role will require you to work collaboratively with other Workplace Technology teams and the Head of Workplace Technology to promote core technologies, share learnings and support the delivery of the Workplace Technology strategy and roadmap items.

    The role

    As an integral member of the Workplace Identity Team, the Identity Service Engineer is a key facilitator in the delivery of ITV's Identity & Access Management Strategy.

  • Administration of the Identity services including Okta and an in-house Joiners, Movers, Leavers (JML) automated account management system.
  • Continued maintenance of SSO integrations for the tools that deliver Identity to ITV, including Okta, Active Directory, Google Workspace, Oracle Fusion and in-house JML systems.
  • Ongoing integration of applications to use SSO with Okta, including liaising with application owners to gather requirements and develop integration approaches.
  • Leads the identification, analysis, and resolution of system design weaknesses. Troubleshoots and manages the resolution of issues related to identities, systems, access, accounts, authentication, authorization, entitlements, and permissions. Determines and recommends the most appropriate response to identify more complex problems, issues and/or defects by assessing impact and prioritisation.
  • Troubleshoots, supports and resolves system incidents, problems and changes, as required.
  • Ensure the maintenance, patching, operating, and monitoring of IAM systems are in place and completed.
  • To work closely with operational teams, Cyber Security and Application Owners with provisioning workflows and the operational management and roadmap development of all Identity services.
  • Provides technical expertise and works with the business to drive process improvements through automation.
  • Personal development into an SME in the design, development, testing, implementation, and integration of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and solutions.
  • Identification of strategic opportunities for improvement of Identity Management based on industry trends, best practices and business needs.
  • Support and implement automation into processes and deliverables wherever possible. You will support ITV's use of cloud technologies to deliver high quality products to stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies, informed by the Technical Lead, Service Manager and Architecture. You will adhere to best practice and delivery standards to ensure high quality output to the ITV business.
  • Work to ensure implemented solutions are appropriately secure, technically sound and provide an excellent user experience.
  • Understand and leverage the available data streams within Workplace Technology to support your work.
  • Provide support to the wider Workplace Technology team as required, balanced against core priorities and deliverables. In collaboration with your Workplace Technology colleagues, you will support the definition of a cohesive vision for the future of Workplace Technology at ITV.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other technical resources throughout the product lifecycle to deliver various work products.
  • Manage technical and non-technical stakeholder expectations by providing continuous feedback and ensuring requirements are jointly understood.
  • Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or equivalent technical discipline or demonstrable experience in 2nd line support of a SaaS application.
  • IDP Certification (Okta Preferred)
  • Good technical troubleshooting/ analytical skills
  • Experience of working in an Agile development environment
  • User experience focused
  • Understanding of Change Management and approval processes.
